<DIV>Follow the steps below to cleanly reinstall ArcGIS 8.3. <BR><BR>

To run repair on an ArcGIS 9.0 installation, go to Add/Remove programs, find ArcGIS Desktop, click the Change button and select 'Repair'.</DIV><BR><BR><BR>

<LI>Uninstall ArcGIS Desktop and Workstation versions, by clicking Start > Settings > Control Panel. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. Remove the entries for ArcGIS Desktop and ArcInfo Workstation.
<LI>Open Windows Explorer.
<LI>Navigate to the 'arcgis' folder and delete it.
<LI>Reboot the computer.
<LI>Place ArcGIS Desktop CD in the CD-ROM drive.
<LI>Close the Auto-Install window.
<LI>Click Start > Run.
