Installer connects to Oracle fine, creates the SDE user and tablespace, but when it goes to create the SDE schema, the error message following is encountered :- <BR><BR><BR>ESRI ArcSDE Server Setup Utility Tue Jan 24 12:20:52 2006 <BR>---------------------------------------------------------------- <BR>db_get_dbms_release:: Invalid Release (10.2.0.1.0) Cannot determine DBMS release using SDO_ADMIN.sdo <BR>_version function. <BR><BR>Error: Underlying DBMS error (-51). <BR>Error: Unable to connect <BR>DBMS error (0) <BR><BR>Noted the following fix as part of ArcSDE 9.1 service pack 1 <BR>CQ00269665 - ArcSDE 9.1 will not connect to Oracle10gR2 databases. This fix will allow ArcSDE 9.1 SP1 to connect to Oracle10gR2. <BR><BR>Solution: <BR>Install ArcSDE 9.1 software <BR>Install ArcSDE 9.1 service pack 1 <BR>Run through the post installation process <BR><BR>Note: If you have an ArcSDE 9.0 license code, make sure you get hold of the 9.1 license code, otherwise you will get an error to the effect of " invalid license version " when you come to the registration of the license code. </P>
